Monochromatic & Complementary Photos

  1. Heidi, these are beautiful photos. I really like the texture of your monochromatic one. The rose to me seems as though it might be analogous, not complementary? The pink, orange, and yellow hues of the rose seem to blend together.

    Great photos!

  2. Heidi,
I really like your first photograph because of the texture and the light color really brings out the darker outlines of each rectangle. I also like that it has parts that look darker almost like a burnt orange color. Very nice!

  5. Heidi, I love the rose photo. Great idea with the contemporary color scheme with the yellow/orange and red. Flowers make you feel so fresh and warm at the same time.

  6. Both photos are great Heidi. I like the monochromatic example a lot. It would be a cool background for something, like a blog!

  7. I love both of these photos! The monochromatic photo is great! All the same color, but slighty different hues in some spots. And the complementary photo is amazing! Two different colors opposite of each other on the color wheel! Pink and white! And the rose itself is amazing in showing this! I love taking complementary photos even if they are hard to find sometimes! Great job again!

  9. The floor would be so much more interesting with a subject, like a leaf, or rock, although it does the trick by itself. The rose is an Analogous color scheme: red/yellow, next to each other on the color wheel. Lovely shot.
